Mr. Mauldin

Going into my 6th year teaching in the Blaine County School District and my 3rd year as the choral director for the Wood River High and Middle Schools, I am excited to be working with this incredible musicians once again! While I spent some time with the Sun Valley Company as their Director of Entertainment, my focus has always been a combination of performing and teaching. While working for Sun Valley, I also taught private voice, appeared in various Aprés-Ski acts, and also found time to be in an opera with Opera Idaho and various productions with local theaters.I spent time on the faculty at various educational institutions, including the Sun Valley Community School, Pioneer Montessori in Ketchum, Utah State University, the University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College and Arizona State University. A performer since I can remember, I also play the piano, guitar, ukulele, bass and bongos (I also took a year of band in 7th grade and played the trumpet). Having grown up in Jerome, I think of Idaho as my lifelong home. I moved to the Wood River Valley in 2008, but I have played in these mountains for many years! I love it here.

I currently oversee and teach 5 choirs between WRHS & WRMS, including the award-winning groups Colla Voce and Spiritus. The combined Middle School Choir consistently receives Superior ratings from judges at the District IV Large Group Assessment held annually in Jerome. You can all the groups in combined concerts held in December and May each year.

For more info about me, here is my current resume that I use when performing around the valley and elsewhere:
