Education is the cornerstone of our democracy and social studies education is what makes educated, informed and involved citizens. Aside from that, I LOVE history and political science and have taught World History, AP US History, and AP Government for most of my time here. I have been teaching at Wood River High School as a social studies teacher for 20+ years. I hold a bachelor's degree in history from Ohio University, received my teaching credential from Montana State University, and a Masters Degree from Boise State in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In 2016, I was named the Mountain Express’s Woman of the Year for my advocacy work on behalf of teachers and students in the Wood River Valley. Currently, I am working towards a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on TESOL, and hope to complete it in the next three year.
When I’m not teaching, I can be found riding my bike, knitting or sewing, or floating down a river with my family. It is my absolute pleasure to teach at Wood River High School.
