My family and I moved to the Wood River Valley in 2019 from Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been a desert dweller for most of my life, but I have loved discovering mountain life over the past few years. Winters inside by the fire with a wonderful book, and summers camping and exploring the mountains have been a wonderful way to spend our time. I have grown particularly fond of the Big Wood River and have spent many hours swimming and fishing in its cool, ever-changing channels.

2023-24 will be my sixteenth year as a teacher of fifth to seventh graders. At Bellevue Elementary School, we have the opportunity to focus on the whole student. I love teaching my students about the world around us through hands-on science investigations.  I am also deeply fond of discussing books with my students. This is the year when we discover all the richness that literature has to offer. If you don’t consider yourself a reader when you enter my class, you will when you leave. 

I can’t wait to meet a new batch of explorers and book club buddies!
