Mrs. Garrison
Teaching is my passion! I have a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. I also am working on an Endorsement for English Language Development. I began teaching at Bellevue Elementary in the Fall of 1995 and I continue to love working as a Bellevue Bear. I have taught Kindergarten and Second grade as well as first but I love first grade the best. My classroom is build around students exploring the world through language arts, math, science, and social studies. Some of the projects my students have been involved in are: baby animal zoo, bug zoo, poetry writing, exploring my culture and my world, planting a garden, and many others. Each year the students have the opportunity to learn using their entire body and to challenge their problem solving skills. I continue to learn from my students and look forward to watching them blossom and grow. I invite parents to come and be a part of our learning environment by visiting as often as possible but also through e-mail, home notes, & platforms such as SeeSaw that allow me to send pictures, videos, and snapshots of our learning. Each year is a new adventure and I look forward to sharing them with my students and their families.

Teaching is my passion! I love learning alongside the students and exploring how to encourage strong readers, writers and mathematicians. I have a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood as well as an endorsement for English Language Development. I want to know each of my students as individual learners and help them reach their full potential in First Grade. I believe parents are students first and primary teachers and want to work with them as a team as much as they are able. My door is always open for volunteering, visiting to watch, or helping with special events. This will be my 30th year teaching at BES! I have taught Kindergarten and Second, but I love the growth that occurs in first grade and it remains my favorite. I want to have fun with my students, but I also have high expectations of behavior and learning based on individual students. I will work with you and your child to support a successful year. As I always say, I am your partner in your child's learning journey. We can accomplish a lot together!
