Early Childhood Special Education Preschool

  • The Blaine County School District's Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Preschool Program supports the development and learning of children aged 3-5 with diverse abilities and needs, including typically developing peers, through a transdisciplinary play-based approach in a largely child-led classroom. Eligibility for this program requires meeting Idaho's special education criteria and residency within the school district.

    Blaine County School District offers three free Child Developmental Screening clinics at the BCRD Community Campus during the school year. To schedule an appointment on one of the dates below, please call the District Office at 208-578-5004  (or 208-578-5014 for Spanish).

    Special Education is a state and federally funded initiative dedicated to serving children with identified disabilities. Parents and qualified professionals collaborate to understand each child's educational strengths and needs. All eligible children are entitled to a free and appropriate public preschool education, including related services.
