Mountain Resort Superintendents Visit Blaine County

photo of mountain resort superintendents Superintendents from other mountain resort communities (Park City, Eagle, CO, Telluride, Gunnison, Jackson Hole and McCall) visited Blaine County last week to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities of public schools in mountain resorts.

Dr. Holmes hosted the group as they visited Hailey Elementary, Wood River High School and Ernest Hemingway STEAM School.  The group visited preschool, elementary and secondary classrooms and discussed what Blaine County is doing to close the opportunity and achievement gap as we redesign our school system to support success for all students.

The group meets annually in various mountain resort communities.  Wood River Middle School Principal Fritz Peters, Vice Principal Rob Ditch, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Angie Martinez and Hailey Principal Toni Boush are pictured with the group to the right.
