As a Wood River Valley native and Wood River High School alum, I have had the opportunity to experience the wonders of this area through different lenses. As a child and young adult, I spent countless hours exploring our local environment learning about native flora and fauna before I understood the biological processes that allow the ecosystems of our area to function.  It was in the woods near the Big Wood River and the sagebrush covered hillsides in our valley that instilled in me a deep love of nature.  Following high school, I earned a degree in biology from Idaho State University, then went on to earn my teaching credential from Boise State University.  After earning my teaching certificate, I went on to teach at Borah High School in Boise for 7 years.  That was a nice place to cut my teeth as a teacher, but I always had the desire to be a wolverine again.  Now in the current chapter of my life, I am excited to have the opportunity to give back to the community that has given me so much support over the years. GO WOLVERINES!!!
