My name is Meghan Murphy and I'm the ELD (English Language Development) specialist at Hailey Elementary. I started my teaching career in California in 1999 before relocating to Ketchum, Idaho in 2004.  Prior to becoming a specialist, I was a classroom teacher for 15 years, 11 of which have been here in Blaine County. I spent five years teaching 4th grade, six years in 3rd, three years in 2nd, and one in kindergarten (kindie teachers deserve a medal).  Eight of those years, I taught in the dual immersion program.  I am excited about my current position and the opportunity it has given me to collaborate with multiple teachers across various grade levels.  The co-teaching model we have adopted continues to grow and provides all learners with equal access to the curriculum.  I am currently working on my Master's degree in ELD through Boise State University.

I have two beautiful boys who are two and a half years apart.  My family and I enjoy all of the activities the valley has to offer year-round, and we feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful place! I look forward to raising my children in this wonderful community.
