Mrs. Perkins (Beatty)

Hello! My name is Ally Perkins (Beatty), and this is my fourth year with the Blaine County School District (BCSD) and my third year as a 1st-grade teacher at Hailey Elementary. I’m thrilled to continue this journey with such an amazing community.

Born and raised in Idaho, I graduated from Boise State University in 2021 with a BA in Elementary Education. My passion for teaching young minds has only grown over the years, and I'm excited to bring new adventures and learning experiences to my 1st-grade classroom.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every child learns best in a supportive and engaging environment. That's why I embrace a play-based learning approach, which allows children to explore concepts through hands-on activities and joyful discovery. Play is not just a break from learning; it’s a fundamental part of the learning process. It helps students develop social skills, problem-solving abilities, and a love for learning that will stay with them for life.

Building a strong classroom community is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I strive to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where each child feels valued and safe to express themselves. I encourage collaboration and kindness, helping students to form meaningful relationships with their peers and understand the importance of teamwork.

Personal Interests

Outside of teaching, I’m an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, camping, and backpacking. Exploring nature recharges me and often inspires the creative and interactive lessons I bring to the classroom. Whether it's incorporating elements of nature into our learning activities or simply drawing from the calm and focus I find outdoors, the great outdoors plays a significant role in my teaching practice.

I’m grateful to be a part of the wonderful Blaine County community and look forward to another incredible year at Hailey Elementary!
