What does Math Interventionist support look like at Hailey Elementary School?

Having the role as Math Interventionist at Hailey Elementary, I have the privilege of working with students and teachers in the subject area of math for 3rd through 5th grades. I help to identify areas of math needs through student assessments. I've been a part of the organization, development, and implementation of our math intervention time called, "Rocket Math," where all students are provided small group math instruction for 25 minutes four days a week. One of our school goals is to improve students' math fact fluency and number sense through math strategies. Rocket Math is one way we are working to meet the math needs of our students. We set high expectations and help students to achieve their maximum potential and individual math goals.
