Welcome to my class! Each year I think about what a privilege it is to work together as we explore the craft of writing and the art of literature.  Writing and literature have always been a love of mine.  I received my BA in English Literature at the University of Oregon and my MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University.  I started my teaching career in Vail, CO and then moved back to the Wood River Valley so I could teach here at Wood River High School.  I hope that my classroom fosters critical, analytical, and creative thinking, risk-taking, open discussion, and growth in a safe and fun environment where every student has the opportunity to raise the bar.  In my free time, I love skiing with my three children, Lillian "Cookie" who is 15, Gus, who is nine, and my youngest, who is now five. My husband and I also enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and exploring together.
