Mr. Carr

Teaching has been my calling. I really enjoy working with and building up kids. I have been teaching Spanish at WRMS since 2013 and have loved every aspect of it, even the hard parts because they help me grow as a teacher. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in Rexburg in 2013 and immediately out of college got hired on as one of the Spanish teachers at the middle school. I have also completed a master's degree in Spanish Linguistics online through NMSU. I really enjoy learning about the Spanish language, but also just love listening to it and reading it in as many contexts as possible (I watch Spanish news, read books in Spanish and watch everything I can in Spanish on Netflix!). In my free-time, I love to make and edit videos (my YouTube channel is "Profe LocO") and, you guessed it, watch and read stuff in Spanish! My philosophy on language learning is this: You need to enjoy and understand it to learn it. My goal for my students is that they enjoy learning Spanish in class, and I'll do everything in my power to make it enjoyable and comprehensible for them.
