Ms. Jones

  • I grew up in Boise and lived in the Wood River Valley from 2012 until 2016. During that time, I finished my Master of Education in Bilingual Education and worked as an ENL Paraprofessional at Wood River High School. I lived abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico for one year, Santiago, Chile for three years and Cusco, Peru for one year. While I was in South America, I was teaching English for a Chilean company, which then led me to create an LLC of my own to teach English as a foreign language. I was fortunate enough to travel all around Central and South America during that time. This experience abroad allowed me to canyoneer in Matacanes Canyon in Mexico, backpack in Patagonia in Chile and Argentina, as well as explore Machu Picchu and other gorgeous mountains in Peru. After my adventures down south, I decided to return north to the valley to teach Social Studies at Wood River Middle School in 2023. Working with students, teaching, traveling, learning other languages, and immersing myself in other cultures is my passion. When I'm not teaching, I love to backpack, rock climb, camp, cross-country ski, play sports, bike ride, read and spend time with my family and friends. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow with the students, families and staff at Wood River Middle School.
