Wood River Middle School Leadership Students Donate to Mountain Humane

WRMS Donates to Mountain Humane

On April 12, Wood River Middle School’s 6th, 7th, and 8th grade leadership students hosted a successful Spring Fling Carnival Fundraising Event, with all proceeds going
to the Mountain Humane Animal Shelter in Hailey, Idaho.

The event, which featured a variety of carnival games and attractions, also had special participation from Mountain Humane. They brought puppies to the event! This addition not only provided joy and entertainment as students had the opportunity to interact with the puppies, but it also facilitated the adoption of one of the puppies by the end of the fundraiser.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the students and the generous support of the community, the event raised a total of $1,000, which was donated to Mountain Humane to help them continue their important work in caring for and protecting animals in the Wood River Valley.

Aleksandra Sibrian, Leadership and GATE Teacher at Wood River Middle School, praised her students, stating, “WRMS Leadership students are extremely dedicated, motivated, and focused on achieving every single school goal they establish for themselves. It was the students' idea to organize a fundraiser specifically for Mountain Humane as they wanted to recognize all their hard work and dedication to the animals and our community at Wood River Valley. I am very proud of what my students have accomplished with this fundraiser and all the other events they have organized this year at Wood River Middle School.”

This event demonstrates the commitment of Wood River Middle School students to their community and their ability to make a positive impact through thoughtful, well-organized efforts.

We are very proud! 🐾
