Blaine County Bots Cultivates 21st Century Skills in Students

Robotics Team Jeremy Silvis and WRMS host Blaine County Bots (BCB) which is a before school competitive robotics club for students in 6th and 7th grade, which runs from September thru January.  Student teams will design, and build a VEX IQ robot for the yearly engineering challenge presented in the form of a competitive game. This after club is like an after-school sport.   If you are ready to work with others to: think, problem solve through difficult situations, Invent, Engineer, Build, Make things work, and positively collaborate; then this sport is for you! A successful robotics team develops skills such as leadership, commitment, teamwork, and perseverance.

Each year the team travels to 2 to 3 local tournaments as well as travels to the State Robotics Tournament which is held in the Treasure Valley. The top two teams from the State Tournament will qualify for Worlds, which we have qualified for the last 3 years in a row.
