Welcome to Medical Technologies! I joined the CTE department at WRHS in the fall of 2024. I have been a nurse for almost 11 years working primarily in the hospital in both Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department Units. I love the interaction with patients, the feeling of helping someone, the teamwork, and the critical thinking needed to make smart decisions. I also enjoy teaching what I do. I have helped mentor both nursing students and new nursing graduates. 

 

I grew up in Massachusetts and spent much of my 20's traveling and working odd jobs to pay the bills. I have worked as a tax preparer, bartender and outdoor educator, to name a few. No matter where I traveled or what job I did, I always came back to a love of the human body and how it works. My path was a little squiggly to get to where I am now, but that is why I love to show students how there is no right "One Way" to get to where you want to go. I look forward to sharing my experience and love of healthcare with students!
