Wood River High's Benjamin Boccabella has earned the prestigious 2023 Congressional Award Gold Medal!

In June, he was recognized at the 2023 Gold Medal Summit in Washington, D.C., where gold medalists met members of Congress. Established in 1979, this award inspires American youth through voluntary service, personal development, fitness, and exploration. Benjamin dedicated more than two years to achieving this medal, completing 400 hours of service, 200 hours of personal growth, 200 hours of fitness, and a cultural immersion.
