Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Laura Barnhardt. I had a love for teaching at a young age. It all started in the basement of my home when I was a little girl growing up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with a chalkboard (later a whiteboard), my brother, my neighbors, and dolls. I pursued my passion and attended college at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I have a Bachelors in Science degree in Elementary Education and concentration in mathematics. I also have an Educational Leadership, Masters in Education from the University of Idaho. I have taught for 14 years in Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. The mountains were calling in the summer of 2016 to Ketchum, Idaho, after spending two summers in the National Parks (Mount Rainier and Sitka). In my free time, I enjoy skiing, hiking with my black lab, Boone, camping, fly fishing, cooking, hanging out with friends, playing pickleball, and reading.
