I grew up in Boise and graduated from Boise State University in 2013 with a degree in K-8 Education.  I chose to not go directly into the classroom, actually opting to find seasonal work that actually lead me Galena Lodge.  I like to say I received a "master's degree" from the Boulder mountains.  I worked 4 seasons, 2 summers as an adventure camp counselor and 2 winters as a server and amateur cross country skier.  While working at Galena I knew I would want to spend the rest of my life in the valley so after a few trips off continent and a cross country bike trip later I was ready to return to the classroom. 

I started teaching in Boise and surrounding areas in 2016 all the while looking for job availability in the Wood River Valley.  In 2018 I made the move and have been so happy to be here.  I spent a year teaching math at the Middle School when the opportunity to teach science came up here at Hemingway.  No relation to Isacc but I will use every advantage I can get.  Please reach out anytime, cnewton@blaineschools.org
