Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Joy Spencer and I will be your child's teacher.  My interests are hiking, biking, backpacking, baking cakes, and playing guitar. However, my true passion is in education.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Tennessee. After graduation, I taught as an environmental educator for three years before discovering I wanted to return to school to study elementary education. I then earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching and working with children for the past 20 years, and this is my tenth year with the Blaine County School District.
