Welcome to Music!
In music classes we will sing and play instruments and learn a repertoire of traditional, folk, patriotic, and other songs and pieces.
We will demonstrate an understanding of the elements of music such as: rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color, and form as used in musical compositions.
We will learn concert etiquette both as performers and as audience members.
We will make connections between music and other arts and/or other curriculum subjects.
We will develop the ability to read and notate music.
We will move to music and dance.
We will listen to music, explore the purpose and expression and composers of a variety of musical styles.
