Next step....High School!

  • Generally, in February, you can expect to start hearing about High School Registration for our 8th grade class.

    This process is done by WRHS counselors and supported by your EHSS school counselor.  During this time, your student will begin hearing about the process, courses they may take Freshman year, develop a 4 year plan for high school, as well as getting basic answers to their questions.

    This is usually done in a series of 2-3 sessions over the course of a month.  

    An In-Person Open House night for Rising 9th grade students will also be held at WRHS during this timeframe.  Those details will be shared with all parents to ensure adequate time to mark your calendars.  This is an important event that helps your student experience the high school building as well as give opportunity for you to ask questions directly to WRHS staff!

    In the Spring, there will also be a half day experience planned for 8th graders to visit WRHS during their normal instructional day so they can see the building in action.  Details on that date will be communicated once it has been decided on.

    ***Disclaimer - this is always a confusing and overwhelming time for our 8th graders.  This is very normal and they will be supported and walked through the entire process from start to end.
